Happy Valentine's Day!
Class lists went home Friday. Please bring enough for your child's class if you plan on bringing in Valentines this week. It is a shortened week. I hope to see you all to talk about your child's progress at parent-teacher conferences. If you haven't scheduled a time yet, please let the office know as soon as possible. NO SPELLING WORDS THIS WEEK. Mrs. Woolverton is doing a book study this week with the students with the text "The Day It Rained Hearts." Be sure to look in the hallway at conferences for their writing pieces. This week Mrs. Woolverton, our student teacher, will begin teaching first grade language arts full time.
The students will be working on vowel teams: o, oa, ow, and oe. Our grammar lesson will be over the verbs go and do. The students will read a nonfiction text called "Vulture View". It is an informational text written a poetic format. We will also continue to work on capitalization of names in sentences. |
